Hi Mark, thanks for the enquiry, hope you are riding. We've had a fallow period here. A lot of the old group of riders have moved over to social media and are organising their rides via whatsapp for example or Join-A-Ride on Facebook. Don't worry if you aren't being invited to join the whatsapp group, I'm not either! For those that are still here a lot of us have either moved to road riding for the winter period because there has been so much rain or have an injury e.g. me again (knee and hamstring - details in ride report to be posted this evening). I am just back riding last week but only on the road bike at the moment and I'm still a bit sore so not ridden MTB. I think given the current conditions I won't be out for a few weeks yet, I don't want to have to push too hard e.g. in really boggy or muddy conditions and aggravate my knee/hamstring. But I'm desperate to get out there and as you may have seen on the forum we have three big trips planned: - 30th April - road ride from London to Brussels - 3 of us unsupported ride at the moment
- 2nd to 9th July - a week's MTB in Morzine/Les Gets and the Porte du soleil area. Six of us in the group including two new riders to the alps so we will be keen to get out riding together before that to get to know each other and to hone our skills ahead of the mountains
- 19th to 23rd July - another week in Les Gets for me and my two boys, this time with the road bikes to follow Le Tour and to tackle the mountains, up this time, including le Col du Joux Plane just above Morzine
So watch this space..

Hey Muddy, Yeah, I manage to get out when I can usually in Swinley as it's very local, but that's flat and not real riding, right... Pity about the (presumably gnarly ones) doing their own thang. It's always been a good bunch here, I've enjoyed my loose connection to the group. Sorry to hear about the injuries. I've had a knee/hamstring issue for the last weeks, but physio seems to be sorting it out. Hope you all get fit quickly. I'm hoping to get over to SH more frequently than in the past. I hope to join for some SH action when things dry out a bit. cheers, Mark. Hi Mark, thanks for the enquiry, hope you are riding. We've had a fallow period here.
