**************** Changed to Sunday, weather forecast for Saturday horrendous!! ************ Although I didn't post here last Saturday, I did ride. Got a special invite to one of the Dark Diary rides. However I did struggle badly on that and plan to get a bit of practice in this week. So...Riding Sunday morning at 9 from the Windy gap car park near Leith hill. Planning to ride the DS trails then across to Leith to do a few new ones there. Link to start point: www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?x=513880&y=142770&z=120&sv=513880Big orange arrow points at the car park I'll be at. 'One size fits all' kind of ride. Bit of company would be nice

Change of day for this ride was the way to go but still got rained on. Started from the Windy gap CP at 9ish, rode up to the tower and did a few trails up there, very wet and muddy. Rode down hill towards Abinger Hammer, did a couple of the trails I got shown last week. Headed up to Wotten, down through the rookery and across the A25 and along Abinger Roughs. Used the bridleways to get to Peaslake. Small snack, bumped into Wob and the guys from the dark diary out on a ride. Rode up towards the viewpoint at Holmbury, couple of trails up there then down telegraph to the CP at Holbury, bumped into Wob and the guys again. Along and up the Five Ashes climb back to the tower and back to the car. 4 hours riding, all good.
