... And where are the Commuting Chaingangers Green Orange Dave and Muddy this week ? At the bottom of the table can Batbling overhaul Neil Gardiner ? - and who is he !? On top of the general lethargy and lac of energy that I have been suffering from all year I currently have a throat infection that has gone on for about two weeks now meaning that today is only the second day i have cycle-commuted this week. Neil Gardiner? Never heard of him.

On top of the general lethargy and lac of energy that I have been suffering from all year ... Muddy, although i admire your dedication, you've set yourself some pretty brutal mileage target and training regime. Could the lack of energy may be partly due to the fact that so far this year you've already cycled a distance most normal folks might not even cycle in their lifetime ?

Neil Gardiner? Never heard of him. Ha ha. Neil is a mate of mine. Both you and Batbling have met him, but he is out on the group rides even less often than me so it's no wonder you don't remember him. He normally rides a Dialled Prince Albert or a Yeti 575 and is pretty quick. He was actually on this ride, though Strava didn't pick him up for some reason. app.strava.com/activities/63773574Feel a bit bad that our road rides and my mileage on the turbo have been clogging up the club leaderboard. A good incentive for everyone to log a few more miles and to correct the natural order of things!

Muddyfox: This is a possibility: www.sportsinjurybulletin.com/archive/uups.htmlGenerally even though you are training your results become worse, makes you train more and you get even worse.... My wife suffered from this some years ago and is still affected by it. Personally I would say that your training load should reflect your life as everything counts. Stressful work - that adds to your general training load (recovery time is reduced), lack of sleep = same. I would suggest knocking any exercise on the head for two weeks and see what happens.

I know you all cant wait to see how the week turned out !! Cas claimed top spot from Rob - partially by riding around the block about 20 times on Sunday night. A big week nonetheless as he also topped the Climbing stats. Third spot was claimed by Muddy - not bad from a rider suffering from over training Alans sneaky Friday jaunt bagged the biggest ride of the week and in terms of pure off road riding Dandy Mole pipped Terry. Terry wont like that (although had Tel been on Sundays ride DOMTB honor would have been upheld) Honourable mention to Wob who bagged just shy of 8k ft - all off road. Right, no more from me on this subject....
