Great ride today with perfect conditions. Big step into the unknown for me as the most I had riden before was 75km so thought I would likely have to take the train back to London. But it looks like Brighton bacon butties have magical properties, must the chef's special sauce! Cheers lads.

Surprisingly good, slightly sore on the outside of my right knee which I suspect may be down to the cleat position on those very stiff road SPDs, will need a bit of adjustment. A bit stiff around the neck from the crouched posture on the bike but legs are fine. I usually take some protein shake after a long ride and I find they really do make a difference to muscle recovery.

Hot bath and a 1.5 pint glass of banana Nesquik does the trick for me!
