Updates are great!
My training is stepped up and I'm pretty pleased with my mileage and elevation, especially as I work full time and have husband/daddy duties to perform!!!

At the midweek point a familiar pattern is emerging. Rob ‘Shaved Teddy’ Manns2007 leads the way closely followed by Cas ‘My Avatar is a lady, honest’ S. But with Robs biggest ride day of the week already done can he hold onto top spot ? Muddy is chaingaining himself into third, can he best last weeks performance and enter the top 2 ?
Leed is hovering outside the top three with some legally dodgy routes and gates crossed on the way. Could this be the week he brings the Roadies stranglehold on the podium to an end ?
Lower down the table Terry is threatening the Offroad contingent with his overseas off season training and Dandy is putting in some serious miles on the rigid singlespeed – nutter. Meanwhile Moontang and Stevo have entered the fray enjoying the Hurtwood while allegedly being chased by a pack of dogs.
With peachy trails and the best riding still to come this week with a big ride planned for Sunday its all to play for !
(although in reality its probably going to largely end up the same as last week – sigh).

Should be sneaking out this afternoon, and might commute on Friday, but won't be challenging the podium fo' sho' Shouldn't off-road miles count double, with triple miles for rigid singlespeeds

We've had this debate before. Miles are miles (or kilometres are kilometres). There's no counting double or treble or whatever just because you choose to make it harder for yourself by riding on/off-road or riding ridiculous bicycles

This is primarily a MTB site , surely you should allow these hard working soles to compete on a level playing field ( Ah ) Plus it would make it more interesting..I agree that no triples should be allowed for fixies or unicycles !!! Having said that I'm not sure the ratio is x2..I can ride about 80km MTB in about 5 hours and 125 km of Road in about the same time so x 1.5 sounds like a fair calculation P.s Btw Yesterday I was overtaken by a guy on a mountainbike in Richmond Park

No, this isn't negotiable. Anyways, seeing as this is driven by Strava then how are you going to upload a GPX file of a 20 mile MTB ride as 30 miles anyway?

Its turning into a Battle of the Roadies at the top of the table begging the question – do we need to change the name of the group to DOBR ?! Looking to mount a Coup D’etat at the top of the table is Cas. Has Rob got anything up his sleeve to mount his own bid for leadership ? In third Green Orange Dave is back in the CS7 gang, but its close with our Dictator in Chief just a handful of miles behind. By applying his own adjustment factor of three Dandy is 4th. Everyone else knows he is in 11th. This weeks mystery DOMTBer Stephan Lanfermeijer is a distant 4th (adjusted to 5th). Who hell he ?! Even Stevo got out the road bike this week with what has to be one of the longest commutes out of the group, he even managed to clear a couple of road gaps on the way ! Terry is lurking in 10th although probably with a whole load of unloaded rides still to come. There is still a load of riding to come, who is going to be top, and who is going to be doing cheeky last minute rides Sunday night to overhaul their nearest rival for Strava glory !

Would you believe me if I said Stephan Lanfermeijer is my road-riding alter ego, used as I'm too embarrassed to admit to wearing lycra? I thought not

You roadies need to start your own club on Strava....ie Diary of a roadie......... (lightweights) Unfortunately Strava doesn't cater for that, another failing. There is a growing need of a better alternative to the dreaded S

After JP's antics in Benidorm on Friday night (which included prancing around wearing a hen party's purple wig and 'tour sash' at one point), I can't see him posting a series of KOMs on the week-end And yes, Muddy, I will post up something soon re the trip to Spain, though due to pressure of work and home (and wanting to fit some rides in) it will be just a few comments on the forum thread. It was a great week, with some superb, and challenging at times, trails

Yep, the top has deteriorated badly since you were there and it's virtually unrideable now. Managed to turn right before the gorge
