What a load of bollox,I can sort of see the point But new hubs forks etc .. Hopefully it will disappear within a year

Hopefully it will disappear within a year I doubt it, Lee. SRAM will have invested a lot in this, and as 'PinkBike' comments, "it's an open standard that can be used by any bike manufacturer, and by the looks of things, a number of companies will be hopping on board in the very near future". They also make a great point in their summary, "if the industry didn't move forward ... we'd still be riding with cantilever brakes and toe clips". Though they add, "until we have actual trail time on these new products the jury is still out."
