Worth a trip next spring to have a look I think. Let's hope they've added to existing trials as it does look very man made .

yeah, new bits look a bit pants, why not just lay tarmac? What would you call that anyway, it's not singletrack so is it double-track?
anyhoo, I think the point is that these just replace the fireroad sections and ALL of the original sections are still there (from reading other threads on errr...other forums) so it's not got any worse plus there's less fireroad sections to ride. And perhaps these sections will wear over time and become a specific line/expose some of the underlying rock.
I'm sure it's great fun to ride it's just not mountain biking. Or is it?

Dandy, check out the riders at the start of this video. Pretty sure one of them is the guy who kindly rebuilt my rear wheel up at 1868 racing Llanrwst. At the end it says they are both sponsored by the shop.

From what I remember most the Fire roads were uphill ? you could be right. I'm just quoting what's in the articles I'm reading. I haven't ridden it for many years.

Yep, all the downhill sections were long, narrow, awesome super-fast single track. Hope none of them have gone. It really was awesome riding. Like Ranmore trails but 4 times longer.
