Really enjoyed today, the hills nearly killed me (must get fitter) but the good company and great banter accompanied by a sunny deep blue sky really set me up for the rest of the week.
Thanks to Muddy, Adam, Terry, Orange green Dave, Tim, Lone groover, Rob and last but not least Maurice for making it a great day.

Thanks Dave for posting and leading and the others for company. Need to this type of ride more often to build up fitness. Local is good but it does not produce quiet the work rate.

Ps. How do I get an avatar? Click on your user name on the forum look over on the right hand side and click on 'edit profile' Select "Use only your ProBoards Avatar" where it says "Choose how your avatar will display" and then on the same page on the right hand side where it says "Use the Avatar Maker to design your own!" click on "Edit Avatar" you then just choose and click as appropriate

Great work muddy. Note to self, must try not to look like a deranged mongoloid when riding. Btw the picture of Dave and Terry on Holmbury summit looks like they're having a dump? Lol;-)

Great ride report Richard.
Thanks to Mark and the trail pixes for good work (apart from the bit Muddy mentioned which obviously got wrecked by the weather and all those feckers riding bikes :)before it firmed up! ) on Yogurt pots.
Good luck with the Avatar Rob.

as I've said many times before that bloke over at Veloviewer is a genius. Here's the 3D graphic of today's ride veloviewer.com/route/4432use the stretch elevation slider at bottom left to make the hills seem bigger or click and drag the route to spin it right round baby, right round

Thanks for that pic Muddy, I'll put it in the private collection with the others, although your butt has changed quite a bit since the Alps! Nice touch on my tag, that's a previously unseen pic from my first DOMTB ride...on that same route.

Perhaps you should come along and show us how it's done? Thank you sweety. Nothing gets the chance to settle, and all the rain hasn't helped, but once the clay has leached out of the berms, they should set solid. Seriously though, a few of you should come along to a repair day. we get to play with JCBs, whacker plates and everything.

Good to see the usual suspects - and a few new faces too. I forgot to mention it on the ride but I followed Huey's van out of Epsom on Sunday morning - presumably off riding somewhere else.
I can't believe how busy Peaslake C2 carpark gets now - remembering meeting Davebus and Felix for winter 3 Hills rides 5 years ago and our cars being the only ones there!

I forgot to mention it on the ride but I followed Huey's van out of Epsom on Sunday morning - presumably off riding somewhere else. No such luck mate, was out with the old bang stick up "near" tunnel hill. Never went more than 600 yards I'll be out riding soon enough. Honest. Getting too darn cold for lying on the ground.
