Re: POSTPONED: Free skills training « Result #1 Today at 10:02am »
Okay:got an email form Astounding Adventures last night and the summary is that one of them has flu and the other has put her back out whilst clearing trails.
They have therefore suggested postponing this to the weekend of 30-31st January.
I won't lie to you (Ness) after all the organisation this is a real pain in the hole but if the trail leaders arent fit then thety cant run the course.
On the bright side, the trails are currently boggy, glutinous mudfests and so another months delay may give thewm a chance to recover.
I will try to PM/text all of you to make sure you get the message.

by the way, how do u get your rider rating above 0, as 8 yrs destroying the north downs deserves better than that?
Hah! It's a voting system. Just under your name in the section on the left is a 'freeride god/crash test dummy' section. If another forum user likes what you are saying/has ridden with you and thinks you are a good rider they vote/click freeride god to give you plus one or vice versa if you are talking bllx.
You probably don't post on here enough for people to really know who you are...
Have a 'freeride god' point to get you off the mark.

Hi Gez, good to hear from you.
When we went up there a few years back we stayed at the corner house hotel in Innerleithen. A great bike friendly B&B in a pub. Nice rooms and really, really big fried breakfasts! Highly recommended.

Re: 30th Dec Sry Hills end of year night ride. « Result #18 Yesterday at 11:35am »
OK, I've been thinking about this since my last post 30 mins ago and the weather is unlikely to get better so I'm gonna cancel this ride. I will text Neil, Lee, Keith and Nick. But I don't have Ronnies mobile number so Ronnie I hope you check this thread before turning up at Ashtead station? ...that is if you have decided to come along. Sorry to everyone for cancelling i'm going to post a morning ride for tomorrow in case anyone would like to come along to that instead?

Hi, myself and some buddies are heading up to Innerleithen/Glentress for a 40th singletrack extraveganza and wondered if anyone could recomend some good acomodation, something like pub b&b's or anything bike friendly really, thanks for any input, Gez.

Chaps, i'm sorry to bail out but a very late night last night, a 30 year old bottle of Port and a bad night with the babba have killed it for me. At least i didn't blame it on a cold !
Have a great ride and hope you those doing the skills course enjoy it Happy New Year
Re: Free skills training « Result #27 on Dec 29, 2009, 7:52pm »
Oh goody, I will hopefully have my new (old) full susser with me (Ventana X-5), and Suren will have his new (old) dodgy chinese carbon hardtail Richard, thanks again for arranging.
Whaddya mean what ride? Well, my brother and cousin (who a number of us bumped into a few weeks ago and who also know Terry, Debbie and David) organised a 'family' ride and me and Sam were invited.
So it wasn't my ride to invite others along to really.

I got a pair of Bontrager mudX tyres which will be fitted in time for sat the 2nd. Nothing else bike related. But I did have to climb over two gardens today to get my radio control helicopter back...
