Yeah I read that earlier today, sounds nasty.
That's surprising cos Tony seems like a pretty decent rider. Just goes to show you have to keep your wits about you and never know when the trail is going to bite back.
Healing vibes to Roadie Tony.

Gees thats rough, that small drop at the end is rather sudden and has caught out manny a rider. About time they sort it out. Hope all get better soon.

Hi Thanks for the reply folks. Not feeling too bad. My break definitely isn't as bad as Muddy Matts in terms of pain, hopefully I'll be out again before too long. img12.imageshack.us/img12/7858/tonycb.jpgThe drop off that caught me out was at the end of the v.long windy part of the labyrinth as it finishes out onto the fire road. Obviously my fault but not helped by the way that the long swoopy/windy very ride-able trail ends with a drop off - short cut. This is what caught me out - first time I'd ridden it! Whilst I was sitting there in my world of pain I did notice two other people endo in exactly the same way. Not great. I hate turbo trainers but it looks like I'll be on one for a while. Here's to a speedy recovery, though I guess you will be off the trails for a few weeks yet, Tony. I did more or less the same thing on Leith Hill about 3 years ago. Had to drive my wife to the airport the next morning. Managed to convince her I had just bruised my shoulder which was why I was carrying one bag at a time. After I dropped her off at Gatwick I went straight to A&E. Of course she went nuts when she came back from the week-end away to discover I'd broken it, especially as I was meant to be starting a new job the following week.
It didn't take too long before I started riding like an idiot again though!

Hi
I've always fancied a titanium frame but this quite the framework I expected. Bust the bone into three pieces and snapped a ligament and got a titanium locking plate at St Helier yesterday. Hopefully should be back on the bike before too long. Plate pics to follow.
Take care out on those trials.
Tony

Ouch, not just a simple break then. On Wed evening the Moles were wondering how you were getting on; now we know. I've still got a Ti rod in my leg (snowboarding). I reckon between several of us we could probably get enough Ti together for a decent frame.

Ow! Sorry to hear that Tony. Hope the plate does the job and you are back riding soon. Raadhika was surprised and concerned that you'd hurt yourself.
